Question Beeping And Cicking Noise Under Throttle Body

I have a 2005 XC90 2.5 it died on the highway the other day. Cranks and tries to start but wont run. Engine light was on with only code PO336. I changed the crankshaft position sensor, cleared the code. It still wont start but the code stayed clear. now when starting it does not even try to fire. When I turn the key on I get a beeping and clicking noise under the throttle body. I am wondering if it is getting fuel? Is there a easy safe way to check?.

Many Thanks!

you can check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a fuel pressure gauge. a old school way to check for fuel is remove air filter and spray some starter fluid in the throttle body, but not sure i'd try it on a newer car.

The fuel pump and relay seem to be working, at least I can here it running with the key on. I will pick up a pressure gauge tomorrow and a fuel filter looks pretty rusty. I removed the crankshaft sensor and reinstalled again (same problem). I don't think it is that because the code has not returned.

Thanks...

I picked up a pressure gauge. Since it wont start does any one know what the pressure should be with just the key turned on? It has two Schrader valve one before the fuel filter and one on the fuel rail.

Thanks Again
