Default reliability

hello all,
I currently own a v70 xc 2001. I am looking at 3 xc90s.
2003 t6 xc90
2004 t6 xc90
2004 2.9lt xc 90
Anything I should worry about or go over before I decide which one I want?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

None of them. The T6 XC90s are bad news, especially if not properly maintained. The transmissions have major issues, even if maintained. If you want an XC90, go with a 2.5T, not the old T6

Way worse than the 01-02 P2s, transmission-wise

Now that we are in the subject, what about the XC90 V8? is it worth it, or will it bring headaches? I know the you need to do a fix by drilling a hole in by the crank pulley or something, correct me if I am wrong..
Thanks

Drilling a hole in the crank pulley?

I think you are refering to drilling a drain hole for the rear balance shaft bearing. That is only on the 2005, and only the first so many engines (I forgot the engine number they started putting the hole from the factory).

so in your opinion an XC90 2.5T would be a wise choice? Im looking at a 2005 and was wondering the same thing if anything I need to look for while I am testing etc to buy the vehicle. The one I am looking at is about 161K miles which seems a bit high on mileage for that year of a vehicle.
