bi-xenon transformer on 2004 XC70 wagon
Headlamp out on 2004 XC70. Bi-xenon.
Volvo technician says bulb is OK...it's the ballast that is bad. $600 Volvo part. Ouch! Plus it is hard to get to...3 hours labor. Total job quote = $900 - $1,000 Double ouch!
Is there a way out? Is there a non-Volvo ballast that will work in the XC70? That I could have a local garage guy do?
$1,000 is more than I spent on my first car!
Any suggestions welcome.
