A/C problems with2003 XC90 tT6. Last summer we noticed when it was very hot outside (>92 degrees) that the A/C would randomly stop blowing cold air and just blow ambient/warm air. This happened occasionally and of course when I took it to Dealer they said it was working fine! I have read some comments about similar problems with S80/60 and am wondering if it is likely same sourceeither evap temp sensor or clutch problem. I need to know what to tell the dealer when I take it in and give them some "guidance" in their investigation. Any other ideas?

Also, I have noticed when the A/C is on that the fan/blower is always very loud when I am standing outside of my car. Is this normal for an XC90?

Any comments/advice/input is appreciated!

 

Sounds like the typical clutch problem to me.

 

Ok, so do I take the car in and tell them my story and ask them to just check out the A/C clutch or should it be replaced?
