car only starts when it wants to
2003 xc90 car will start maybe 2 or 3 times then nothing, no click or nothing, a good battery and even jumping it nada, any suggestions where to start? thanks grm

Check the power connection to the starter.
I had similar happen on a jeep. The vehicle had been in for service and they disconnected the starter for some reason. When they re-connected the power cable to the starter they didn't tighten it... would start intermittently.
