CEL Trouble Code P0CEA and U0055 (need help to diagnose)
Hi Guys,
Newest issue on our 2017 Volvo XC90 (60k miles). We got a CEL with associated codes for:
P0CEA: Hybrid/EV Electronics Coolant Pump Performance (permanent)
U0055: Vehicle Communication Bus D
Anyone experience the P0CEA code before and how did you get it serviced (details)?
Much appreciated for any feedback.

Hey, any chance you were able to resolve the P0CEA and U0055 codes? We just had them pop up randomly at ~90k miles and am trying to troubleshoot before resorting to bringing it in to Volvo
For the P0CEA, check the coolant levels and ensure proper circulation. If that doesn't do the trick, check the pump itself. Sometimes debris or air bubbles can also cause issues, so try bleeding the system.
As for the U0055, check the wires and connectors linked to the communication bus. Sometimes, if there's a loose connection, it can cause this error. Also, look into the grounds and power sources.

Thanks, I checked and levels/connections looked fine. No sign of leakage either. Before doing a full on bleed and fill I figured I'd try resetting the code and see if it came back or if it was possibly some trapped air that had already worked it's way out. It's been 200+ miles since reset and the code hasn't come back yet so hopefully no need to go further.
Thanks again for the help.
