Default CEM Problems After it Rains

I've noticed elsewhere that the CEM can get wet after a heavy rainfall due to a wiring leak causing the CEM to corrode. I've noticed in my 2004 that the radio's ICM will go dark for about a week and then come back on. It stays on until the next heavy rainfall. Does the radio wire into the CEM?

Any suggestions on getting Volvo to cover this manufacturing defect? i saw on another site that the Federal EPA Warranty might cover it, but a call to my Volvo dealer stated that they weren't aware of any CEM problems with water leaks.

Update on my post above. I contacted 3 dealers in my area. The first one said the EPA warranty would cover it, but they wouldn't cover the water leak fix. The second one had no idea what I was talking about and the third one (who researched the issue for me) told me the Emissions Warranty would cover the replacement of the CEM, the water leak fix and any software updates.

Apparently, this problem is only with the 2003-2004s and some 2005s. I'm glad mine is under 80,000 miles and the warranty hadn't yet expired.
