Fog lights - melted bulb holders
I recently replaced my H1 fog light bulbs for the PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow 2500K H1 Bulbs. Today I notcied that one of the lights was not working anddiscovered that the clear plastic holderfor the bulb was melted. These bulbs are 55W like the originals, so I don't understand why this happended. Has anyone else experienced this and should this be covered under warranty?

Well I can say this probably with more truth then not.
It wont be covered under warranty. I only say this because you replaced the OEM bulbs with an "aftermarket" bulb. Most dealership at least mine don't deal in aftermarket items for Volvo's and more then likely wont honor the warranty since you didn't use an OEM bulb. If you had used an OEM bulb then more then likely they would honor the warranty.

Well, here is the latest. I puit the original (still working) OEM bulbs back in. The dealer replaced the sockets and new bulbs on warranty - no questions asked. As a matter of fact, they said this seems to happen a lot. They also found that one of the foglight adjustment clamps was broken and ordered a replacement lamp under warranty. Within 1 hour all was taken care of and they even cleaned my XC90 for free.
