Default Front Rotors Will Not Come Off

I am a long time do it yourself mechanic. I have rebuit 3 cars from the ground up. But, my wife's Volvo is making me feel like I can't turn a wrench.

I have the front brakes off, I removed the small bolt holding the rotor to the hub, but the rotors won't budge. There has to be something else holding this rotor on. I have tried everything I could think of to loosen the rotor, but with no success.

Any tips, suggestions, or help you can throw my way?

By the way, the bottom caliper housing bolt was a major pain to loosen too. My 345 ft. pound impact wrench just sat running for a couple of minutes before I got one turn out of it. The top bolt was even worse. My 18" breaker bar wouldn't budge. After "soaking" the bolt in spray lube for an hour and hanging on the breaker bar with all my weight, I finally got the bolt to move. Does Volvo really need to put an ounce of lock tight on each of those those bolts? I am hoping the rotor doesn't have the same type of issue.

Have the same problems on my VW. After removing the screw, a hammer is usually needed to loosen the rotor from the hub.

I had the same problem on my 2004 XC90. What I did was sprayed a little liquid wrench onto the hub, then I heated the rotor at the hub with a propane torch (not a lot of heat), then I banged like hell with a big hammer until it popped off. This, of course, ruins the rotor, but hopefully you needed to replace it anyway and it was too forgone to be turned.
