Help! I just bought my xc90 from a Toyota dealership. Driving or in park, dashboard says parking brake temporarily unavailable. I've looked through the manual and couldn't find the solution.

Someone will need to plug into the car with an appropriate scan tool that can talk to your parking brake module to see what codes are stored - possibly someone replaced rear brake pads without using the appropriate tool and screwed something up.

 

Car should still be under warranty. Call local dealer and make sure that it is. If so book it in. Keep in mind though if hoonk is right warranty may not cover anything and you may end up paying to find out what is going on.
