Default Horrible squeak coming from left front wheel-what's wrong?

For the last 8 months, the left front wheel of my 2008 XC90 has had a horrible high pitched squeak. It usually starts happening once the car is warmed up and if I am going above 40 mph. Once I even touch the brake petal at all, the noise stops. I am 16 and I have no mechanical ability whatsoever so I gave it to my dad to fix. He is too old to hear the high pitched squeaking noise and his mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the car at all. The brake pads are not worn out. It has been to three different shops and they have taken the whole thing apart and found nothing wrong. The people at the mechanic shops are too old to hear it and they act like I'm crazy. The noise is so bad now that I have to drive with the windows up and with the radio on because it drives me so insane. My dad now has given up trying to fix it and he just gets mad at me when I mention it. This forum is my last hope for freedom from the horrible noise. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Swing it by my place, I'll take care of it.

It might be as simple as the metal dust shield behind the rotor rubbing against the rotor, mine did this after a axel swap yesterday.Just turn the wheel and reach back an check for clearance

But if that was the case, would the squeaking stop once I pressed the brake petal? I know nothing about being a mechanic so sorry if that is a dumb question. I am in Los Angeles so if any one in LA knows where I should take it please tell me.

I was thinking that maybe the brake caliper wasn't releasing the pad all the way and that it could be dragging a little bit, causing the noise. Could that be a possibility?

so you touch the pedal and it stops. when does it come back? if caliper were dragging the wheel would get very hot after a few miles.

If I press the brakes at all the noise completely stops. Once I release the brake the noise instantly comes back.
