Hello,

I would to install the Parrot 3200 buletooth myself. I am told there is a wireharness made for my 04 xc90 that will make this as easy as pluggin in the harness to Parrot and radio?

Does anyone have specific directions on how to remove radio (non-premiun) I have a general idea of removing shifter trim and screws under climate control. However I read " Do not remove connectors before turning the ignition off"

WHen should I turn ignition on during this removal process and when should it be off? Is batttery always disconnected first. I am new at this but want to give it a good try.

ANy specific info would be greatly appreciated.

Links to a remaval page would be great. I have not come up with a detailed one yet.

I think you need to turn ignition ON to move shifter into D to make room for the unit when pulling it out.
Then turnignition off. Wait at least 5 min. before disconnecting the battery. If you think radio can come out with shifter in Park, then remove key from ignition before disconnecting the battery.

 

You need to remove shifter trim first. Remove the 2 torx screws at the bottum, you will see 4 screws total. You need to remove the 2 at the way bottum.Once you remove the screws you can pull the whole radio and climate system out as one.If the key is on and you disconect the radio and climate control you will just set codes. Not a big deal.You can pull the radio and climate control out far enough to put the shifter back in park and remove the key without disconecting anything.Well maybe the 12v plug socket. Good luck

 

OK Thanks for the info. SO just to b sure, once I get the radio out of the center console I should put shifter back in park and then turn off key, right?

Otherwise if I can not get shifter back in park to turn key off, could I disconnect battery with shifter in D and key in on position?
