Keyless entry issue

I have a 2011 XC90, its 7 months old and has 6500 miles. When i first got it, i had issues with the buttons, sometimes i would have to press extra hard or even multiple times before the doors would lock or unlock. Then it started working perfect. At around 5500 miles i locked my doors went about my business for about 3 hours, came back and the doors wouldn't unlock with the remote. I didn't think much of it, but then i realized that none of the buttons worked anymore. I even tried my husbands remote and none of his buttons worked either. So i knew it wasn't a battery issue. So i've been having to lock and unlock my doors the old fashioned way (which you have no clue how much that sucks until you have no other choice and it especially sucks when you have kids and coach sports and use the tailgate often). Anyway this week i get up in the morning and try the button as i do every morning and it worked! I was pretty excited about this. But then it stopped working. And this is how its been all week. I get up, try it, it works, i get to where i'm going, lock doors with remote, come back to the car and the remote no longer works for the rest of the day but the next morning it works perfectly!
Has anyone else ever had this issue or have any idea what the issue might be? If i were living in the states i would just take it into the dealership and have them check it quickly, unfortunately i'm living in Italy and its not that easy over here. I do have to get the oil changed but thats not for another 1000 miles (which will be done at the dealership) and would like to have it fixed before then if i can do it myself.

My 2012 XC90 has one key fob that acts up and won’t work about 70% of the time. It won’t lock or unlock the car at any distance. The second fob works fine. Replaced under warranty 11/11/13. From nhtsa.org…Volvo Service Bulletin # TJ23170
Manufacturer: Volvo Cars of N.A., LLC
SUMMARY:
VOLVO: NOT POSSIBLE TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE CAR WITH KIR. NEW REMOTES HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED INTO PRODUCTION FROM STRUCTURE WEEK 201215.
