Many dealers will buy specific configs from other dealers. Another option is to use the dealer's online sites. Usually the biggest hassle of buying a car is making the payment (ie loan or certified check etc) and then getting your registration plates. Being in a big state like Texas means you can shop many dealers and still have your in-state services from the DMV or your bank. Plus, I bet if you find your car from remote dealer (say in Dallas or San Antonio) you can negotiate price since they know that if you walk away, you're not coming back (which is why dealer's often have "web specials".) Have you checked out online sites like Autotrader? I found my car at a dealer 100+ miles away doing that and got a great price to boot.
