looking to buy an XC90 - have concerns...any help!
Hi there...
I am thinking of buying an XC90 and have found a good vehicle, however not being a mechanic i have a couple of questions -
2005 XC90 T6 62000miles
This is the list of things that was done by the dealer.
"We performed the used car check, Certified pre-owned check up, and 60,000 mile service.
We replaced the upper tourque bushing on the engine.... the fuel door hinge,...oil & filter change,... replaced cabin air filter,... replaced spark plugs,...Mount & balance four new tires,... Both rear hub & bearings,...
PA state & emmisions inspections,...replaced front brake pads & rotors,... performed 4 wheel alignment,...replaced evaporator seals and recharged Air conditioning system,...replaced rear wiper blade."
Should i be concerned that the torque bushing on the engine has been replaced.?
Any help would be appreciated.

Just read a little on here or other sites about the T6 and I guarantee you will not want to buy it.
I was going to buy one in the DC area and called the dealer in Alexandria about getting it in for a pre-purchase inspection since I was traveling from Ohio. As soon as I told the Service Manager it was a T6 with 70K on it he said don't buy it. The transmission will not see 80K miles and it's about $6K to fix it.

T6 Watch Out
I owned a 2004 T6. I loved that car. All my miles were highway miles. It was just over 100K when the message light came on stating “TRANSMISSION SERVICE URGENT”. Needless to say I was very concerned. I called three Volvo dealerships and all refused to service my car that day. I thought URGENT meant Urgent. When the transmission was inspected the mechanic told me I needed a replacement as the dealer does not repair transmissions. The cost of repair was a little over $5000.00. The warranty was to be 12 months or 12,000 miles. I was told by the mechanic that this transmission was junk and the reason it lasted so long for me was the highway driving. I traded that car for a V8 and I am very happy with this car. Best of luck on your search.

Xc90 2005 t6
Brother Dont buy
2005 xc 90 has history of Tranny problem , I replaced mine at 73450 miles while I started noticing Transmission problem at 47 plus miles, but I recorded with dealership at 49964 miles.Still fighting in the court to claim the money which volvo denied to pay. I checked with other 4-5 volvo owners of the same year model they all has replaced Transmission.
