I am looking at buying a 03 XC 90. It have read about the transmissions issues for this year. The owner said the tranny was replaced under the factory recall in 2007. Would this be a concern? I can't find any information about the new transmissions that were installed for these models.

 

I own one and had the tranny stop shifting at 80k. Was repaired under warranty and I now have 170k on car. Trans still working but I think it might be tired. I was told this was a reliable GM trans that Volvo reworked. It seems to be working fine but every once in a while it might be starting to slip but it is very sporadic.
