My wife and I are considering the purchase of a 2008 XC90 V8. The VIN and CarFax checks out, but one photo raised some questions. When did Volvo change the spacing of the "VOLVO" logo on the rear of their vehicles? (VOLVO to V O L V O) My wife and I thought it happened after 2008 (all of the 2008's that we have seen shows the letters close together). Has anyone seen a 2008 XC90 with the wider spacing on the rear lift gate? I have included the photo in question. I also noticed a dual tailpipe which I have not seen before. This vehicle is listed as a 2008 V8 Special Edition. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

 

Answer is probably too late but I looked at a 2008 V70 and an XC70. Both had the widely spaced V O L V O letters.
