Guys I really want to do something to this XC90 that I wish at the time I knew to get the V8 R but it's too late I want to get it nice exhaust something that gives it that hemi sound like is it even possible to upgrade my turbo and for my engine to handle it at 159,000 mi like what suggestions do you enthusiast have to start with to beef this up cuz basically I just got a real clean looking 05 XC90 with LED lights LED fog lights and I'm even looking into doing the LED bar for the upper tail lights but finding anything for the 2.5 t all-wheel drive seems impossible seems like everything I look at is for the V8 hell I even spent $300 on one of those touch screen Android radios that you replace with the speaker grill on top of the dash only to find out that my radio doesn't have the main power plug so I can't even add an aux cord let alone a touch screen radio I'm eventually in the market for a V70 or XC90 type r but for right now I want to beef She's clean but needs some beef on them bones

But what do you mean by bones. Like where would you start what can I add. Hell man I cant even find a bull bar to make an offroad look. What parts that you could find would you suggest? She's clean but needs some beef on them bones

Sell it and buy the 3.2 or V8. Its a lot easier and a lot cheaper.
You think? I just know I got this one's and ****ing clean like I feel like I bought it brand new and not a thing wrong I'm worried of getting rid of it and getting one and things start going. I feel like this was one of those lucky finds. Luckily my wife wants my car now so maybe I can look into getting a xc90 r and I bet it's easier to find performance parts for that cause who tf can afford any volvo xc90 above 2014 ? Maybe even looking into v70 or what ever that small hatch was with the carbon fiber look hatch gate
150K is not too old to up the boost. ECU tunes should be readily available. Check out Volvo friendly performance sites (including IPD) and you can find some guidance on stages to reach a target HP goal. In general order that would include a) ECU tune b) bigger downpipe/cat c) bigger intercooler d) bigger turbo (by air volume - Volvos use the TD04 turbos which come with a range of pumping capacities. Say your car has a 14T. You can have your turbo rebuilt or replaced with the impeller/compressor wheels from a 16 or 18T and essentially get a high pressure turbo design which when mated to an ECU tune and bigger exhaust should be good for 300 HP without stressing the engine. If you just do the ECU, you can still target 250 HP.
