Well, it is very nice ride. Much better than S60 (similar engine, transmission, mileage ) more back seat space and turning radius is much better.
Only wrong thing I could find was upper torque mount bushing and today I
replaced whole mount (one with square bushing) . There is still a lot of play on the strut bar and I am going to replace strut bar mounts but haven't make decision if I should use scantech set $23 or OEM Volvo set $73 .
So far I am happy with the car (no name yet)

Unless i'm misunderstanding your post that upper bar is not meant to function as a true strut tower brace, in other words it is not supposed to be rock solid, its a glorified engine mount and should have close to 1 inch of back and forth movement. IPD makes steel inserts that you can put in over the bushings that will stiffen it quite a bit, but there will still be play. I forget where it is available, but there is a kit that will remove all play from the bar, but it also introduces some serious engine vibration back into the vehicle and steering wheel, as the bar is really nothing more than an upper engine mount. I have done the bushing inserts on mine and feel that it has been the best mix of added chassis stability without too much engine vibration.

Thanks for response, by ''lot of play on the strut bar" I meant it is moving easily in all directions by little force. As I can remember upper bar on my old S60 was much stiffer and you could feel bushing resistance.
What kind of the bushing inserts did you use and where did you get them?

I'm not sure about side to side movement, but mine did move quite a bit from front to back. Link below is to IPD where i ordered them, not sure of the weblink policies on this site, so if it gets blocked i'll pm you with it.

Thanks again, links are ok here (I think...) and you can insert them way you did it or like I did in my second post on this tread.
One more question did you have to remove old bushings before you insert new ones or you press new into old ones?

You don't actually change the bushings, it's just a simple poly sleeve that slides over the exterior of the bushing filling the open space in the strut bar. Then a metal cap / washer looking thing compresses it in there. the entire process took less than ten minutes, most of that time was spent finding the right sockets..
