i cant get my garage door opener thing to memorize. i have tried everything the manual said but it still wont work. has anyone had this problem and how do i fix it

I had a similar problem. I was finally able to program the Homelink system by training directly from the garage door opener. I had to set the unit to learn, then run down to the car and press the button I wanted to program. Couldn't program the button fromm the individual garage door opener. Hope this helps.

 

First you have to make sure that you have a rolling code garage door opener. Then it is simply following the directions for the Home Link...........................however you MUST press the button on the motor assembly and NOT the individual hand held remote!
