New to me 2008. Wise idea?
I am hopefully buying a 2008 tomorrow. 3.2 engine. Only things I don't see available on it are phone controls and towing package. It is very clean and only has 102,500 miles. Priced on the higher end of the price spectrum at $8500, but considering used car prices these days, it seems like a good deal. I know Volvo's are the cheapest vehicle to maintain (I own a 2013 C30), but they are one of my favorite brands when it comes to looks. It looks like I will have to replace the TPMS sensors as the light stays on. Is this a smart purchase? Thanks in advance.
Sounds like a smart purchase! The 3.2 with TF-80SC transmission are pretty bullet proof with proper maintenance. I have owned a 2010 in the same configuration for a few years now and have 128,000 on mine. Key things to check out at 100K (see if they have been done if not do them), accessory belt and water pump/power steering pump, transmission fluid flush, fuel filter, and if you hear "whirring" or noise while driving replace the wheel bearings. Other than that these are very solid cars and it should provide you many years and miles of service to come!
