Default Oil pan o'rings

Hello everyone and thank in advance. Today I dropped the oil pan in my 2004 XC90 2.5T. I was getting the occasional "no oil pressure light". I cleaned a fair amount of sludge from the tube and pan. I went ahead and replaced the pickup tube orings and the two pan/block orings as well. I could not get the two pan/block orings to stay in place. They kept falling. I finally managed to get them to stay and put the pan in place. I was working alone, so it was hard to see. I think there is a pretty good chance that one or both of them frll out while putting the pan in place. I could not see. After it was all back together, I filled it up with oil and took it for a drive. I had no issues at all. It runs great. Is there any way to tell if the orings stayed in place or not? What will happen if not?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

From what I have read, the light will come back on because it will have a hard time picking up oil.

What about checking the oil pressure?
