Default Passenger door open error message

I have a 2006 XC90 V8. Today when leaving the message said 'passenger door open"...checked all doors, they are closed and tight. Any suggestions? Also, dome light stays on way long until I turn it off manually. I am thinking it is some sort of electrical issue/computer issue. The car is under warranty until 100K, but would love to avoid wasting a day at the dealer if there is another solution. All locks work, I am just seeing that error message and the dome light concerns me. Thanks in advance!

the dome light stays On because of the door lock-car "thinks" one of the doors is open. take it to the dealer...

you probably have a short somewhere. Check your fues, and relays. If that doesn't work. I would take it to a dealer. Save time and hassle plus it will get it fixed
