Default Power Steering Fluid Flush

What is the best way to go about flushing and replacing the Power Steering fluid? I just purchased a 2005 XC90 V8 and everything has been serviced recently on the vehicle and looks great. The one area I have a question on is the power steering fluid. It is currently slightly brown in color, not pink like it should be. I would like to flush it and replace it with new fluid to keep everything maintained. Any tips other than removing the fluid from the resivour and replacing it with new fluid?

I use a suction can with a hose on it to suck out the old and then add new. Start it up and turn the wheels back and forth a few times and repeat until clean. It's not wise to run the pump dry so this is the best way.
