Rear O2 sensor location 2016 XC90
Hi,
Looks like I need to replace it according to the OBD2 scanner. Searching on internet I don't find a video/picture on where it is located. Anyone has experieces with this?
Someone mentioned removing a protective plate (for an earlier model). Is that the large underbody plate for splash/rust protetection or just small piece specifically for the the sensor?
A picture/video link is really appreciated.
Thanks.
Jeffrey

Thanks for your pointer. I did search but I missed it.
In addition, you mentioned that your "upstream" sensor was busted. Is that the front or rear sensor?
In your picture it does show a rear sensor, so that does help. A picture of wide angle would help even more for my situation so that I could see the surroundings :-)
Is that behind a protective plate? I read it as such in a post for an older model but I am not sure if that plate is a large underbody plate or a smaller plate specifically for the o2 sensor. I am new to this, and wanted get some advices before I start taking apart things.
The codes I got are: P0171, P2270, P0140. The latter two point to the O2 sensor. It seems that P0171 may be related to the latter two or simply for other reasons. Should I try replacing the o2 sensor or just ask the dealer to do more diagnosis to confirm the real cause first? With the P2270/P0140, it seems to be worth a shot to try replacing the sensor?
Thanks.
Jeffrey
