Default Rear Tires Wear

I own a 2004 XC90. I purchased the car with about 49000 miles on the car. The tires looked like they had all the miles on them. I asked the dealer to replace the tires and he did it as part of the deal.
The rear tires wore very noticeably and the dealer said he would check them He found that there was a problem and the tires were aligned. The tires still look as if they are wearing prematurely. Any suggestions?

Every XC90 that has come into our Dealer with rear tire wear issues have alingment problems. Have that vehicle aligned, but make sure the place can do it! We had to update our equipment to accomodate those 18" rims with no flange.

Depending on the tire size and type you're lucky to get that many miles on any tire for the XC90. I have the 235/60/18 and according to many other thread postings as well as my Volvo dealer, you'll be lucky to get more than 25K miles on a performance tire. Check reviews by XC90 drivers on http://www.discounttire.comand http://www.tirerack.com.I had to replace mine after 21150 and there was a rearalignment issue on one tire.
