Default Tires on a XC90 2.5T? Firestone Destination LE2 vs Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 vs Dunlop

Hi there,

Thanks to several folks input here regarding my tire situation, I have decided to get the proper spec tires for my 2004 XC90 2.5T. My mechanic gave me a few choices, and while I have read some reviews on these tires, they span a wide circle of vehicles. Curious to see if anyone of you have had these on your XC90 and if so, what your opinion / thoughts are on the tire.

Firestone Destination LE2
Bridgestone Ecopia EP422
Dunlop Signature CS

Thanks in advance for your feedback

I run those Firestones in 18" size on my company car ('12 Nissan Murano SV) and they are fine, no issues. I have Michelin Latitude Tour HPs on my XC60 and they have been flawless so far, great ride!

I like the Michelin Latitude also. They are significantly cheaper than the Pirrellis my car came with and work as well or better.

tirerack.com is a great resource for reading professional and consumer reviews.

Default Pirelli's vs Michelin?

Our 2014 XC60 came with 19" Alloy with Pirelli's! Been a Michelin guy from way back in 1965. When I went to my tire guy to replace air with nitrogen I asked him about Pirelli's? He said they R a good tire but their warranty isn't very good vs the Michelin. I do like the ride I get so far but when time comes it's back to Michelin

I like the Ecopia. My overall MPG now is 23 up from 20. Control is good on wet or dry road. Haven't got the chance to drive on snow yet.
