Yesterday while driving i
got a collant level low message so i stopped off popped the hood and
noticed the resivor was a bit beneath the midldle of max and min so i
topped it off. I remember having this issue a few months back when our
transmission went. Prior to our transmission going i kept noticing
that the colant kept disappearing so i would run it in the driveway to
check for any leaks and check the level and of course we now know that
it was the GM sourced tranmission and collant was leaking into it. I
know that when we got ours replaced they replaced it with part number
36001126 prior to that they were using 8251468 was a rebuild from
GM/Volvo, which as we know sometimes barely made it out of the stall
b/c it was so badly rebuilt. My question is is it normal for a car to
need a splash of collant added in from time to time or is it likely to
be leaking into my transmission agian i took the transmission dipstick
out checked it and the collant is a nice red as it should be
