Default manual tranny swap?

I found a manual trannie from a non turbo 850 2.4. What do I have to do in order to swap my auto out to manual. I built an s14 nissan silvia from an auto 240, but I bought the whole clip including wiring. I feel that the swap would be easy, but what do i have to do to the comp. and electronics. Can I trick the comp. into thinking it is manual by bypassing wires? Do I need a diff. drive shaft, mounting brackets, etc. ?

I think the axles are the same. You will also have to replace the brake fluid resivior or some of them have the tab on it and you will have to cut the cap off the end.The clutch and brake share the same fluid resivior.I think you will have to replace the computer. You have to get the shifter assy.Pedal assy. That might be about it maybe some little things im forgetting.

with computer replacement, is that just the trans. computer, or the main ecu. I bought my car with the ipd comp. upgrade already installed( bonus). Will this have to be removed or reprogrammed?

The engine module and the trans module are next to each other.I would try to see if the car you got the tranny out of has the module in it.

Overall, installed and out the door, how much would the tranny swap tend to cost?

Not sure depending on how much you get the parts for It could range from like $2000.00 up to like $5000.00.
I think that would be a good number to guess.
