Value of vehicle

I am interested in learning the value of a vehicle I just acquired. I believe it to be a 2006 model SUV that will start, but smokes really bad and I assume has dropped a couple of cylinders. The good is that the body has zero dents, lights are all in tact and interior is a 7/10. Anyone know what kind of money it might be worth or someone that might want it for either parts or for a unit to transfer a motor to?
I’m in the Nashville, TN area.. Thanks in advance for your advice and expertise.

start with kbb.com Kelly Blue Book bases their price estimates on reported new and used sales transactions by regional market, features (ie engine, trim, color), mileage and condition. Next is to use a national retail site like autotrader.com to see what the typical asking price is to know what the range is. Finally, you can use car-part.com to price out used engines etc assuming you'll be doing the repairs yourself.
