XC90 2008 has heat or ac but no air coming through the vents. When I turn the dial up nothing happens. No sounds of distress from the blower, just silence. I can feel heat or ac at the vent but no air.

what should I check?

I just replaced the blower motor assembly on 08 XC90 this week. Got the part from ebay and watched instructional videos on YouTube. Took some time and patience but got it in and is working perfectly now. Saved a lot of money doing myself rather than the dealership or service center.
