I got a 2004 Volvo XC90 i had a hole in the condesor which i did a bit of shade tree mechanic work on it and JB welded i refilled the compressor with pag oil and put in the referigerant. When i have the AC running my FAN is really loud its like after driving for a long time after a hot summer day the fan kicks in after you turn the car off and its like a turbine spinning in there the car is running as it should. Is this something i should be worried about is their a possiblity of engine damage if i keep running the A/C

 

Considering the pressure in the condenser is several hundred PSI, I'd be shocked if your JB Weld fix holds. Also, did you use a vacuum pump to evacuate ALL the air from the system before you added the refrigerant?

Between the hole and possibly of air in the system, heaven knows what's going on in there. I doubt it would hurt the engine, but it could be bad for the compressor and other AC components. I wouldn't run the AC at all until the system is thoroughly checked out by a specialist.
