so, I'm buying family's second Volvo we had so far - what are the suggestions recommendations I keep reading VIDA DICE diagnostics!
like to spend no more than 150 max $$$...I understand this diagnostics tool are powerful as far decoding, programing will I be able to program a second Key fob after sorting out getting the first replacement key ...

 

Vida and Dice -

What some people use to help diagnose and fix their pre 2016 Volvos - is a clone dice unit and the easily found free copy of the stolen and hacked VIDA 2014d. That was the last version (4th quarter 2014) that came on a DVD. You can do everything (once hacked) OTHER THAN a download. You will not be able to "program" any key or module with the stolen product.

Vida 2014d was designed for Win7 pro operating system with IE 9, and does not really work well (unless someone has modified it) on Win10.

The Vida subscription product you purchase from Volvo gets quite expensive and will need a factory dice unit for flawless performance (unless the vdash workaround works)
