Default XC90 '03 and remote starter

First off I would like to say that this is a great forum.

I recently installed a CompuStar remote starter at a local shop(Docteur du Pare-Brise).
The first day I brought the SUV home, I noticed that the cold start feature was notworking and that the heater was not working until the key was in the ignition. Obviously it was a poor install. To make a long story short, after bringing the SUV to the shop for the 3 time...I noticed that the passenger side mirror was not adjusting(not working) anymore and that the when I would retract the mirrors, one would stay opened with a grinding noiseand the other would close. If I press the button again, the mirrors would alternate. Also the gas tank cover would not lock anymore.

The company decide to remove the auto starter and they told me they would pay for the repair of the gas tanks lock and the rearview mirror problem if it's due to the poor installation.

Can anyone confirm if these two problems can be caused by installing a remote starter? Also, no CanBus was installed.

Thanks,

Dante1

Hey man i installed a Viper 5900 auto start alarm on my 05 xc 90 2.5t and none of those problems exist. The only thing is that after installing the alarm my sensors went crazy. The light for the seat belt is on even though my seat belt is on and the SRS Airbag message went on. Other then that everything works fine
