XC90 2.5T Banjo Bolt BB
So the engine in my XC90 2.5T was destroyed by a little BB that was a part of the banjo bolt underneath the manifold! Really Volvo! How is this something that could even happen?
Does anyone else know this is a built in engine killer? Seems like every Volvo Mechanic I have spoken with knows about it.

The top of piston #2 looked like it had been shot with bb sized shot many times, the piston was actually cracked. The bb was missing from the banjo bolt. Google the issue you will find out about it.
So "every Volvo mechanic you have spoken with" was just two.
And now three. And I haven't seen that.
And all the guys in my shop haven't either, and that's over 100 years of collective experience with just Volvo.
And I couldn't find anything about it on Google. I'd say it is not a common failure at all.
