Default XC90 2010 water leak multiple issues Help

Hi all id appreciate some help...
I've recently had a leak coming into the driver's side footwell. Having the typical yaw sensor issues associated with this(thanks everyone for previous posts on this issue).
My foot parking brake pedal totally rusted and the ratchet mechanism stopped working. If anyone needs any help on replacing this I can talk you through it.

This is the old part

New part

Opon replacing this I had to join two yellow cables together one that was cut off the old rusted part that leads to the bundle of wires under the centre console to the replacement part sent. I soldered the two together.
When feeding the parking brake release cable through the centre console it then hooks onto two parallel cables that lead to the hand brake shoes, this was a real struggle. It took many attempts of me trying to hook these parallel cables attached to the handbrake shoes back on to the replaced part. Bit of brute force and I managed to hook it on.With no knowledge of how this system even worked until taking it apart I am now stuck with the parking brake constantly beeping while driving. The Parking brake works tremendously and is far more efficient than it's ever been..I redone the wires still to find the car still beeps at me and the parking light on the dash stays on. Could this possibly be that the cable is too tight and not releasing the shoes far enough to turn off the beeping and the light on the dash?
I can live with the light on the dash does anyone at least know how to turn off the beeping?

Im still trying to source the leak also I've read days and nights worth of forums😂.
Driver's side has trickles of water coming in, nothing major until an accumulation adds up and becomes a big issue. It looks too be coming in behind the insulation above the pedals. I've pulled out the grommets on the flooring for now.
I HAVE NO SUNROOF.
the problem leads me to the plastic bit underneath the windshield, some forums say this is the windscreen scuttle - windscreen cowl on removal of this it covers the air vents and it has a drain on the driver's side to drain out water that's collected in this area that runs down the windscreen. This is where I believe the problem is.
I've been on and off looking at this, looking at something else then ending up back here.
The drain itself works as such there seems to be some sort of problem with it. I tipped buckets of water into this drain.

This drains out under the car I watch and hear it coming out.
It hard to explain as such a bucket full of water into that drain and it will come out underneath the car.
I can visually see that it hasn't drained fully I repeated the steps and jet washed it out which turned the water brown and muddy. I was hoping it was over...the water drained the majority but again could visually see it hasn't drained fully
In driver's side after numerous buckets of water and a good old jet wash,
I had the trickles of water from behind the insulation. Anyone had an experience like this? All I can think is the outlet tube is blocked as it's fairly narrow in diameter but as I've said previously it must work as it drains out under the car?

NEVER a boring day with an XC90 I wanted a car not a neverending puzzle!
