Xc90 d5 auto hard shift when warm
Hi all. I'm new to this forum. Not long bought my first XC90. It is a 2005 D5 6 speed auto. Has covered 108000 Miles. When cold the box shifts as it should. However, once it has warmed up , 4th and reverse are a very hard shift. The box bangs into theses gears. There are no other noises when driving, no whining noises and no slipping.
I am considering giving it a service. The only video I've managed to find in relation to the 6 speed auto service is for a petrol car in the U.S. Not sure if they use the same box in the diesel.
Does anyone know how much fluid is required? Also which software will be needed to check the temperature?
Any other help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
