XC90 hybrid Battery Replacement compatibility
I once read that the batteries in the XC90 Hybrid are backwards compatible, So if you gotta replace the lithium ion battery pack, you can get a better battery, and a vehicle with better all electric range. Can anyone here confirm this, I can't find any evidence for or against.

My loose understanding they run close to $10k, and there's no after market options, just Volvo Dealer supported. I had read someone asking about increasing range by upgrading battery. And the response was you would never make that money back with the increased all electric range.
All that said, it got me curious about looking for one with a spent battery, with the idea of replacing with the upgraded but I can't find details to paint the picture. I'll probably try talking with a volvo dealership.
