Hi all, I have just purchased a 06 xc90 v8 and am wondering if there is anything I can do to determine health of gearbox as I understand they are prone to crapping out. I read a tyranny flush may be a good idea, then I read the tyranny flush may Infact kick the problem into existence...The vehicle has done 95k kms and is in pretty good knick, its leaking a bit of oil which I am thinking is either power steering or Pcv (noted as leaking on previous receipt when prev owner got rocker cover gaskets done. It also sometimes has a knock from the front when starting from take off or when accelerating which may be an engine mount or suspension bush.. Things I know are wrong are OK for me as I should be able to fix.. Its the transmission which at present isn't giving trouble which is what has me on edge as it would likely be more than the cars worth to get fixed.
