--Mike Peterson suggests the used book store in Jackson (Hein & Co. 204 N. Main.)

--Marcia loves the bead shop at 46 Main Street in Jackson – The Hole Affair:
http://www.theholeaffair.com/ They also have yarn. Tell Annette or Kathleen that Marcia sent you!

--Be aware there’s an all day event in Jackson on Main Street:
“Amador County Heritage Day, Saturday, October 17. Come to historic Main
Street in Jackson on Heritage Day to re-live the area's colorful history, enjoy the tastes of a Dutch Oven cooking competition and the Fire Department Chili Cook-off (http://hjba.homestead.com/ChiliCookOff.html), and watch a spirited Fire Department Muster competition. Music and other street entertainment will occur throughout the day and antique and other handmade craft vendors will be selling their wares. The event runs from 10am-5pm on the length of Main Street.” –http://ci.jackson.ca.us/

We do need to know if you are coming so there are enough docents at Preston to give us a good tour. We need to decide on a place for lunch that will work for us. We will be asking for your lunch location preference among Mexican, Italian, or Deli (Amador City). Maps & handouts about the places we are visiting will be provided at the meeting spot.

To RSVP (or ask a question), please contact Marcia & Wally Russell (no later than October 13, 2009):

Hope to see you there!

Take care,
volvie!
