100K & 200K Medallions?
I'm SO disappointed. We are owned by a 1983 240 and a 1988 740 (see below), both of which are well over 200K miles.
We have a 100K medallion on our 240. It would be really nice to have a 200K medallion for each. Volvo now sends DECALS instead of medallions. If I wanted a decal, I'd have bought a Chevrolet (hmm....20K, 50K decals would be appropriate in that case, I suppose).
Anyone know of a company making such medallions? ipdusa.com would be a logical source, but they don't seem to have such things....
sigh..

Wow....just found another posting referring to these as "badges." Anyway, I emailed Volvo of America, was informed they only give out decals now, but received my two 200K medallions in the mail on 4/25 anyway.
It's strange: we were planning to sell our 740. Then my wife's 240 was rear-ended, insurance company totalled us out, and we're fixing it up to keep. I love my new Honda Civic Hybrid, but I'm suddenly in love with both of our Volvos, especially since my wife's 240 was hit pretty badly by an idiot kid in a Suburban and sustained only minor rear-end damage. My wife had only minor strains from the hit.
I'm going to proudly affix both the medallions. And I'm already thinking in terms of our next car being a Volvo--I hope we can wait until Volvo's concept car of a plug-in hybrid becomes a reality.

Speaking of collisions...about four years ago I was rear-ended in an '86 245 by a Nissan Stanza 4-door @ about 40 mph. I braced as I saw it coming towards me in the rear-view mirror....my damage was almost not worth mentioning. It barely cut the bumper plastic, cracked the left-rear taillamp lens and made the tailgate slightly difficult to open/close.
The Nissan? The radiator had been relocated atop the fuel injection rack along with the front bumper, hood, battery. It dumped about three types of fluid. Totalled. No injuries to either of us though.
