18"by 8 on volvo s40 need to know if they stick out to much

Default 18"by 8 on volvo s40 need to know if they stick out to much
just bought this set of 18" by 8 msr rims the offset is 35mm but my car requires a 38mm offset. Heres some pics of them on the car just want to know opinions if the rims stick out too much, or would look better with a streched tire. and is there any negatives? in the picture the rims are mounted on a 225 40 18

Yes, they stick out too much. Anyting past the edge of the fender looks rice to me.
