Will those wheels fit on 1998 s70?
Is 18" too big for s70?
I might buy them from someone who took them off of a S60R.

Also, how do I find out for sure if they are real volvo wheels and not replica?

 

They will fit.

I believe 235/40/18 tires will work for that too. Might have rubbing on full lock.

 

Would 17" be a better choice? I do not want 18" to look too big on my s70. Both choices popped up on craigslist.
how much would you pay for used 4 wheels of 17" and 4 wheels of 18"? Without tires or with tires(depending on tread depth)?

18's will be fine. Just get the right rubber to go with them...

 

18's would be a little tight, but they should still fit with rubbing. Another option besides buying used it buying replicas through ipd.

 

18's wheels will fit. With the right tire size they will most likely only rub on full lock.

Plenty of people with s70's and 18 inch rims out there.
