Default Black Grill Painted

scuffing took about 4 hours, but it was worth it.

We did the same thing to my sons 850, only we left the chrome around the outside unpainted.

True but so is the badge on the trunk that says "Volvo"

I am more of a plain black grill. But that's just me.

So you removed the badge and now there is a long indentation and square hole where the badge was before you removed it. While painted in black and not totally noticeable from a distance up close it looks horrid.

The better option would be to pick up an IPD USA black mesh grille, EuroSportTuning (EST) black mesh grille and or one of the various EBAY black mesh grilles.

I have had the IPD verion on my old 850 and it was nice metal. I had the EST version on my current s70 awd and it looked great as well. It was made of ABS plastic, good quality though.
