iv got a beat up 91 740. iv seen some really cool volvos, but not where i live. i wanted to mod my car, but i have no money. i did however find this cool spray on tint. it cost like $10 it says on the can that it is for off road use, but the brake lights show up really good, and no cops have bothered me. the good thing is you can apply it in light coats until it is as dark as you would like. sorry the pic was not better

I have done the same thing on another car only with testor transparent candy apple red(look with the model cars at walmart)

Holy darkness batman. They look really dark from the two attached pictures.

 

It looks alright, just really dark. As a heads up, you don't want to spray that stuff on your headlights as you will not be able to see anything and depending on the state you live in, it is probably illegal. Just an FYI.

 

Gone are the days when quality is always equated to high prices. There are lots of online stores nowadays that offer top notch custom lights like headlights or tail lights at prices that will not tear your pockets. Plus, you're definitely assured of the quality.

 

There are not that many options for Volvo's for custom lights.

Taillights I have never seen anyone really make custom tailights. Other then I think HOVA makes some for the wagons, V70 I believe. But they are overseas I think and are costly.

For headlights, Viva Performance sells the JEWELS for the 850's and 70 series Volvo's. But they are also very exspensive.

Another option for the 850's and x70 series Volvo's is E-codes. FCP Groton sells these as do I think EST. I have the E-codes and love them.

Another option is making some custom projectors for your Volvo. Go over to Volvospeed for more info on that.
