Default Headlight question?

I have a 2003 S60, I want to put the clear 2005 S60 headlamps. I have halogen bulbs, so I want to get the 05 with the halogen. Can I do a direct plug and play swap or is there some rewiring involved?

I have done the '05+ headlight swap on my '01 S60. There are quite a few additional wires on the newer headlights. It doesn't make much difference. Match up the LB, HB, and grounds, then reuse your turn signal wiring as is. I posted it somewhere. I can dig it up if you are interested.

Retrofitting projectors looks like quite the undertaking. I have only seen Youtube videos. Once you begin there is no turning back. You have to finish. I like that I can throw the original headlights back in if I ever needed. If you are patient you can pick up headlights super cheap on ebay. New ones aren't nearly as expensive as they once were, either.

I found it: my wiring explanation

Incorporating some sort of disconnect would be ideal. That way, should you ever need to remove the headlight whether to replace a bulb or something you will have an easier time. I used a few 3M Quick splices, siliconed the ends to keep it water tight.

EDIT

One final note: Eventually you may need to replace a bulb or two. Keep in mind that you are reusing the '01-'04 turn signal bulbs which are different than the '05+ bulbs. I found that out the hard way when I was troubleshooting an electrical issue. (I went to the parts store, bought the '05 bulbs and came back, took the bumper off and the headlight out, saw the difference, buttoned it back up, drove back to the parts store, got the right bulbs, then repeated everything again.)
