Default Removing S60 Exterior Molding. How?

I'm just curious as to how I would go about removing the black plastic trim from my 2001 S60. The black has severely faded so I have decided to dye the trim back to the original black color. So far dying it while on the car is a hassle especially when it gets on the paint and painters tape wont stick...of course I just waxed my car... so I was wondering how I would take it off in a way that would allow me to replace it after I have dyed it. If possible I'm wanting to remove it all to get it done right. I've used Back to Black and while it does work I'm looking for something permanent.

I just looked it up on my Vadis program looks like they are only held on with double sides tape. You will need new tape to reinstall them.

Sorry for reviving an old post.

So for 2001-2007 s60/v70 models the exterior side moulding is attached only by double sided tape? So just pull them off carefully? Or perhaps heat the adhesive to facilitate removal? No torx screws or clips?

Thanks.
