Default Exterior 2015 ½ XC60 Exterior Temperature reading faulty

On a fairly permenant basis, my exterior temperature reading on my gauge on dashboard, is many degrees higher (reading in C) than real temperature outdoors. Many times as much as 8 to 10 degrees. Sometimes, but rarely, only by about 4 degrees. Most previous vehicles had very accurate temperature readings, plus, when for example leaving an indoor parkade where it was perhaps for example 23 degrees, and leaving parkade to a minus 10 degree temperature. It would take at least 1 hour before the gauge would even consider coming closer to real outdoor temperature. Going from cold to hot exterior temperatures same thing. I do find that when i jump in my car on a hot day, the reading for example today, will give me a reading of 40 degrees, when it is really 30 degrees.
And for it to come down after driving for a while, it is painful to watch the gauge coming down closer to the real temperature. i.e. Maybe 1 hour
Can anyone advise whether they think that this is repairable. I have the Sensus
(platinum edition volvo), and as of now, do not know where the sensor (hardware ) actually is located for outdoor temperature.
Any advise would be nice, before I bring for service to look at

I believe that sensor is in the module in front of the rear view mirror with the rain sensor for auto windshield wipers. Mine reads too hot also. On hot days I just turn on the defroster with A/C set on comfortable setting and allow the A/C to cool the windshield and sensor from the inside. It only takes a few minutes. I initially worried about the cold air cracking the hot windshield, but it has not happened here in Florida, so I suspect it is okay to do so.
