Anyone run 235/50/18 or 245/40/18 with any issues?

 

I have the18" rims on my S60 R. there is a little tire rub, but you can control that.

 

I have 18" rims too but what I'm asking is about tire size. 245/40/18 or 235/50/18. Is this ok on the R's?

 

I would always go with what comes from the factory. you know it will work then which i believe are the 245/40/18's

 

Actually the factory specs are 235/40/18. It has been said that even with factory, there can be some rub when you turn your wheel all the way to one side.

The reason I'm even considering 245/40/18 or 235/50/18 is because someone is selling a used set of snow tires and I'd like to see if it'd be ok to use them.

 

Hello AhDoi. My S60R have four 245/45R18 Dunlop Direzza with no rub issues. It will rub only when you are in reverse and turn a lot the wheel.

Other than that not rub at all
