Xc90 New tire dilemma
I have a 2018 XC90 T6 R-Design. it has the factory verde tires on it and about 38k miles. We drove it in the UK for about 2 years before coming back to the states. The UK has the worst road i have ever seen and the tires and suspension on both our cars paid for it...
I'm in the market for new tires. Something all season and still a high performance tire. haha, I tend to drive the Volvo like its a sports car. the Factory tires feel spongy in corners and make a lot of noise.
I'm currently looking at the goodyear eagle exhilarate and the Michelin pilot sport 4 suv. For the set the pilots sports are almost 400 extra dollars.
Has anybody had experience with the goodyears? Its what I'm leaning towards.

check out tirerack.com for their survey and ratings. Assume you didn't move to a local with lots of snow - otherwise I'd advocate for nice summer tires and a seasonal change over to snows. As far as tires go, its typical for european roads to have more crown than american roads so euro tires (like Conti's) have a more rounded corner to avoid nibbling (where the tire wants to follow grooves or cracks in the road). I've run Yokohamas with good luck on our Highlander for summers and General Altimax for winter. I've also run Conti's on my other cars (note they sell a wide range of models - stick to their premium designs like the Crosscontact). Spoiler alert, Tirerack's buery surveys rate the MIchelin's tops followed by Contis. For my car, the Yoko's were a best value.
